About Johanna

Trauma therapist. Healing educator. Believer in your capacity to heal.

Real healing doesn't happen in one room, in one hour, once a week.
It happens in the quiet moments between sessions.
In the breath you remember to take.
In the boundary you finally hold.
In the morning you wake up and feel β€” even just a little β€” more like yourself.
Healing is a whole-life practice. And you deserve support for all of it."

Hi, I'm Johanna. 🀎

I'm a licensed trauma therapist, healing educator, and the founder of Whole Life Healing Therapies and The Mindful Collective Studio.

I've spent over a decade sitting with people in some of the hardest moments of their lives β€” survivors of narcissistic abuse, complex trauma, and relational wounds that ran so deep they didn't even know they were wounds anymore.

What I've learned in ten years of this work is this: The people who find their way to healing aren't the ones who had it easy. They're the ones who refused to stay stuck. That's the kind of courage I get to witness every single day.

And it never gets old.

I'm also a wife, a mom, and a proud Latina β€” and my cultural roots deeply inform the way I approach this work. In many of our communities, mental health has long been met with silence. I believe we deserve better than silence.

We deserve real support, real tools, and a space where all of us β€” our full selves β€” are welcome in the healing process.

That's what I'm building here.

Here’s what Johanna Brings to this work

Hello!

I'm not someone who stopped learning after graduate school. I've spent years seeking out the most effective, evidence-based, and body-centered approaches to trauma healing β€” because I've seen what's possible when we treat the whole person, not just the diagnosis.

Here's what that looks like in practice:

Texas LPC-S | Certified Trauma Professional

Complex Trauma Practitioner

Somatic EMDR Certified

Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapist

Advanced Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness

Trauma-Sensitive IFS

500hr Registered Yoga Teacher

I believe healing requires more than talk.

Trauma lives in the body β€” in the tight chest, the shallow breath, the way your stomach drops before you even know why. Real healing has to meet you there. That's why my approach weaves together clinical trauma therapy, somatic and body-based practices, mindfulness, movement, and sensory tools β€” because no single modality holds all the answers.

And it's why I built The Mindful Collective Studio β€” a virtual space where healing extends beyond the therapy room and becomes something you can access every single day, wherever you are. Because I believe this deeply and without exception:

Healing belongs to everyone.
